hi all i was just wondering if any one else has had an issue with the sigma sport 150-600 .. mine is only a little annoyance really ... on about 4 or five times i have had my OS or image stabilization stop working , now i have it set on the sigma dock to Dynamic view mode on both C1 and C2 i also have them both set to fast af Priority mode ... now why i say its minor is because if i hook it back up to the dock and reset it all works again fine .... has any one else come across this .. lens would be out of warranty .. in the field if it does it to me i just go for higher shutter speed till i get home or hook on another lens ..

I also have that lens and have not had that issue. Given the length of Sigma's warranty, I would think that your lens could NOT be out-of-warranty as you say. I would strongly suggest you contact Sigma and discuss with them. They might even offer to make the repair without any cost, other than shipping to them, even if it IS out of warranty. You never know until you ask!

I agree, the Sigma Sport was not available until Oct. 2014, unless the warranty terms are different in Australia, it should be under warranty until at least Oct. 2018.

billnikon Thank you for your praise!!! As ever, if you're going to do a job give it your wholehearted effort!
I have always bought Canon lenses. Well, except back in my film days and then I had a Pentax. However, I am very impressed by the Tamron G2. It is very sharp and the image steady (Vibration Control) system is fabulous. I have the Canon 100/400 lens and I am pleased with it. I wanted longer reach and converters dropped the light too much. The only real alternative to the Tamron is at very serious money.

Hi cjc2 ..yes you are right i had another look at the warranty here in Australia and it is also 2 years so i have sent them off an email ... not sure i really want my lens pulled apart for such a minor annoyance but thought they may well have some idea as to the problem ... i did buy one of the first ones and love this lens .. i use it often but its worth a try .. i consider this a very minor annoyance as it is easily fixed just by a reset ... and does not happen often ... i will also say my lenses get used and are not given a soft life bouncing over 4x4 roads just sitting on the front seat ready for instant use .. it is rough , dusty and rugged country i like to shoot in ... so my gear has to put up with a lot lol lol thats why i brought the sport built like a tank , i also own the 120-300 f2.8 sport again built like a tank .. thanks again
