The old post office building is currently the home of the Trump International Hotel, but the clock tower is operated by the National Parks Service and is open to the public. Photography and video are welcomed in the museum and the tower. However, if you enter the hotel lobby, only cell phone pictures are allowed - no cameras (cameras can be carried but can't be used).
My only regret is that the tower is not photo friendly. For safety, the entire open area at the top of the tower is enclosed with either closely spaced steel cables or dirty, smudged plexiglas. I got a few acceptable shots but nothing to be proud of. I did, however, enjoy the view!
