Knowing a quite a bit about Yom Kippur and a bit about photography, I can assure that you are by no means in the clear my son. For a full and guilt free forgiveness you must first make the arduous cross country pilgrimage to B&H Photo the Mecca of Photography where you will bare your soul to Clerics trained, expert and seasoned in the sins of all manner of technology and who themselves have been tested a time or two. They will listen with sympathy, gravitas and furrowed brow to your confession and advise you as to the required penance.

NOTE: Like all things worthwhile in life, a "full and guilt free forgiveness" may come at a cost. Much may depend on how much room you have in your suitcase and your credit limit.

All said with a big tongue in cheek. Enjoy all that you have and accept my best wishes to you and yours and all my fellow members celebrating this time of year for a Happy, Healthy, Sweet, Prosperous and Joyous New Year.

If you're in trouble, then I'm in real trouble. When my Canon Rebel died, I replaced my Canon Elph by a Pentax Q-7 and my Canon Rebel by a Pentax K-30. I find having moved from the dark side to the light side good.

Next move, The Pentax K-1. I think that one's G.A.S. attack should not DISSIPATE until ONE has acquired the BEAUTIFUL and very capable::: K-1 I have never had a camera (50 years) that was better!!

Awwwww Geeeeee, thank you. I'm blushing as I don't get that a lot.

You made my day. Will walk around with a stupid smile on my face for a while.

Thanks again.

I do not believe we have a "photo-therapist" in this forum and I do not believe you need one. There is so much gear out there and from several different manufacturers that at times it is very easy to be tempted and believe me, there is nothing wrong with that. Some people cannot exert control, better known as GAS syndrome.
What is important to know is that all of them manufacture excellent and technologically advanced gear that could please every amateur photographer. Case in point is your Sony A6000, an excellent mirrorless camera that has been very successful and popular. Pentax cameras have great reputation, they are very well built and the optics are fantastic. If you ask me they compete nicely against Canon and Nikon although the latter two brands have a larger assortment of lenses to choose from.

With Yom Kippur over and my confession of all of my sins hopefully having been accepted, I have one last confession to make to make to the membership. I have once again dipped my toe in the water of a strange of a strange body. I have, for many years, been a Canoneer. I did slip several years ago and acquired a Pentax k-r and later, a k-5. Most recently, I have again displayed my weakness and I bought a Sony A6000. Is there a Photo-Therapist on this Forum that can help me curtail this wanderlust?

Not only do I have an A6000, but it lives in my study at shul.

Bob,

Thank you. Glad you liked it. I tried to give equal billing to all of the three major faiths.

Yes, there is help for you. Buy a full frame Nikon (the new D850 would be an excellent choice). It will stop your cheating, trying to find the ideal body. You will at last, truly be satisfied.

Your "sins" can only be forgiven if you ask those you have sinned against for forgiveness, in your case Canon and Pentax. I'm sure they'll understand.

I too must confess that after a pilgrimage to the Holy Shrine of B&H I came home with a Sony A6000 mirrowless with a sack of Sony lenses and accessories on the back of my mule. It was one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life. I felt totally reborn.
