Best Camera for Stills? ... Pentax K-1, or Nikon Df ?

REHESS - when I saw they overlooked a top-deck LCD in favor of a third knob, I lost interest ... that, and the realization for not a whole lot more - I could buy a K-1 .... or even both a K-70 AND a K-3 (if I could find one) ....

Well, when Pentax can explain to us where the KP fits, in the overall scheme of things, I shall reconsider, REHESS
For now, I shall assume it goes like this - Top-of-the-Line: K-1, then K-3II, next down K-3, next down K-70 ...

Why not compare two similar cameras, the Nikon D810 to the Pentax K-1?

LOL. I do have ADHD. I usually just make a few REALLY long detailed posting that may or may not even be understood by the uninitiated.
This Df vs K-1 thread seems to be still-born. :smo3:
Since digital became the norm, I have used Nikon D80, Nikon D700, Nikon D800, Nikon Df. My favorite by a huge margin is my Df.
I have the K1 and absolutely adore it. I was lucky enough to find it on ebay barely used. Even at its full price though it's a crazy deal in my opinion. Can't compare it to any Nikon or Canon -- otherwise I have Pentax film and DSLR and Fujifilm x-e2. When I was researching the K1 it was pitched to me as ideal for landscape photographers rather than portraits but I'm getting some of my best portraiture out of it.
12 camera's at $1000 each is $12,000. That would easily be 2 Nikon D850's and some good len's.
Love my K1. But don't tell people what's good for them
I've owned a K-1 for about a year which I purchased almost solely for Landscape use, coming from a Canon 60D. I doubt there is a better DSLR on the market for landscapes, although the capability of the new D850 is to be determined. Of course, the D850 is far more expensive. I've never regretted getting the k-1 for a second.

I believe the Nikon D850 might produce a better still than the Df. the Df has the same guts as the Nikon D4, which, has been surpassed by the D500, D5, and D850.

The Df is still in current Nikon line up although you might say it has the worse sensor in the current Nikon DSLR line up. But I am not going to replace it with the D850 because it's not replaceable.
Some talked about the Df 2 but I seriously don't think Nikon can come up with anything that can replace it.

I will have my Df when I die.
Not any time soon I hope.
