I know ... it's kinda like comparing apples and oranges ... but, I thought it might lead to some interesting discussions
A better question to ask yourself is, which camera/system will serve your purposes better.

Best question to ask myself, Haydon? ... Why would I want to do that? ... I'm asking the folks HERE at UHH ...

They are BOTH out of my league ... just curious as to what kind of replies I might get ....

People usually ask this type of question if they are buying. Now looking at your totally unrelated threads you just posted, I'm definitely wrong. My mistake although my answer was worthy to someone who was interested in actually buying.
If you actually own 12 DSLR's these aren't out of your league :)

Haydon ... totally unrelated threads? ... They are all about cameras, or lenses ... the two aren't related?

For stills and portraits I use a Canon 5Ds. At 50 mp you can shoot sloppy and still get amazing detail!!
For more detail you'd have to go MF!

See, if you break it down - Digital Single Lens Reflex cameras ... no need for an apostrophe ...
Unless, of course - you're writing - MY DSLR's a Nikon ... or my DSLR's a Canon ... see?

That's a definite possibility ... when I'm old and grey, and a 5Ds is less than a thousand ....

Let's see now - the average Medium Frame Digital camera is what - 8 grand? ... Oh, right, I'll buy two next year!

I'll have to admit, though ... the K-1 seems like a ruddy good idea ... now, if I can only find a dealer who will halve the price for me ....
