Best Camera for Stills? ... Pentax K-1, or Nikon Df ?
Thank you for the correction. You've just made my list of genius :)

BTW, Haydon ... there's nothing possessive about DSLRs ....
Do you have ADHD? Why do you feel the need to create 4 post responses to every one post from others?? strange. lol

Not strange at all. Judging from the total lack of useful content I'd say one of the OP'S objectives is to run up his postings count.
I vote Df. Never shot a K-1.
I considered the K-1 for a brief while, but couldn't find anybody who stocked them. Also, the Pentax user group sites were overwhelmingly pessimistic about Pentax's future. Seemed like it was great value for money on paper.
The Pentax K-1 has the most features for the money. The Nikon Df has the least features for the money. They are different.

BEBULAMAR ... yes, they are very different from each other. However, they are both full-frame, and one - the Df - can only shoot stills. The Pentax, however, is not really suited for video, anyway. Which brought to mind the idea for this analysis.

The thing here, was to find out how many of the users here, had either camera, and would like to relay their experience with them - which I thought - might be useful for others. Personally, I don't really have a desire, one way or the other. However, I do have a Pentax 6x7 ... and the lenses I have for it, might well be usable on the K-1 with an adapter, making that choice both feasible and economical. As for the Nikon, I could not be happier with my D7100, D7000, D5500, D5300, and D3200 group.

"Pentax is doooooomed" is an unfortunate joke amongst some of those who use Pentax.

REHESS ... the Pentax 645D is selling quite nicely, from what I hear. The Pentax K-3II is also a very capable camera. And the previous K-3 was a very desirable entry in the prosumer market. Not sure what that new KP is all about. But, the K-70 has a very ardent following. I just don't see that Ricoh is doomed with its acquisition of Pentax. I suspect it will be around for quite some time to come. Pentax DSLRs all have image stabilization built in, as do Sony alpha DSLRs. If Sony pulls out of the DSLR market, Pentax will be the only one left standing with image stabilization built into their bodies ... they can't lose!!!

REPLEO - if you still might want to consider a K-1 ... you CAN find them at both Adorama and KEH, and quite possibly, B&H. Also, if you run it at Amazon - they will provide you with a list of vendors who stock it. Adorama, incidentally, also has a fine inventory of Pentax Full-Frame lenses, both new and used.

Further note on the K-1 ... you'd be hard-pressed to find another 36mp Full-Frame camera at $1500 or thereabouts ....

Yes, but the Pentax "faithful" can always find things to complain about, and when their complaints reach the ears of people like repleo they are counterproductive.
BTW - No one is quite sure where the KP fits. In some sense it is like the Nikon D7500. It does high ISO even better than the K-70 does, and has better build quality, but it lacks things such as a deeper queue that one would expect of a top-tier camera.
