Oh yes, Jambulee, I'll sometimes spend hours and hours out in the bush along trails, down on the ground, taking shots of the wee-littlest no-name flowers, and then when I get back in and download and view/crop to actual size... WOW! the colors and details blow me away. It just simply seems impossible that God's creations in nature can be so diverse, so intricate, and so pleasing to the eye of the beholder.

Just gorgeous gizzy, I had a feeling we had something in common I love photographing flowers especially in Macro. I'll post some in the future.

Very well put and I enjoy photographing flowers too, any type. I don't know the name of many, but know their beauty makes me happy. Thanks for posting.

Okay, Jambulee, you've convinced me. Following are three shots from my favorite photographic genre: Flora. I never cease to be amazed at the intricate designs and colors in the creation of a flower.

hey gizzy it not about winning but about submitting the ones YOU really really care about. It's all way to subjective to float every ones boat.

These are from our local pumpkin patch. They have a Pumpkin Trebuchet that launches 75lb pumpkins around 700 feet.

For a small town, Little Elm has a great park, and with the coming expansion, it will have a great library.

I'm in Aubrey! Just 5 minutes from you, I grocery shop in Little Elm, waiting on that new Kroget to open up across from Goody Goody Liquor. ;)

MWAC, I know Aubrey. Betty's is one of my favorite breakfast places. Can't wait for the new Kroger's to open, and Goody Goody is my and my brother-in-law's favorite place in town.
We should probably go private after this. Don't want to abuse the forum.

Howie, If I had a commute like yours I would never get to work. I Love the softness of the pastels and the serenity of the water

I am loving this "slice of America" in this thread. So many different "captures". I think it interesting that many of the pix have much in common with other areas of the country. Diverse, yet alike.

The vent-pipe photo, in Spring Hill Tenn... ? Ahhh... Just exactly what is a vent-pipe supposed to do for me? I know sometimes I'm a little slow on the up-take, but this one has me stymied.
