I thought that Chevy Chase ah, Clark Griswald backed into the stones and knocked them all down??

He did Raferrlljr but they managed to build them up again and now they're making a fortune charging people to see them.

An excellent series Jim. This is probably one of the most photographed places in the world, but you have shown us some views that are not of the usual "tourist" variety. Good job of shooting here.

Great work.I too made the people queues disappear; I also photoshopped a sunset sky to replace the grey overcast that greeted us. Thanks for sharing.

Outstanding group of photos! If I ever make it to the UK, Stonehenge will be on my list.p

Thank you very much for looking in Larry it's much appreciated. Glad you liked them and to be honest I've been saying for years i was going to see it and I'm glad I did it is so impressive even down tte story of how they got the stones to that area.

My first visit to stonehenge in 1960 -- no fence, so signs not even a parking area, just pull-over on the grass and wonder around. Myself and wife.
