A nice series, it is good to get out on those backroads. Someone in the past went to a lot of work to make a home fitting together all those stones.
I wonder what happened to them?

Yes they did and it is a shame they are returning to the soil. Unfortunately, nobody even remotely nearby to get any history from. Only saw a handful of cars on this
80 some mile stretch of hwy. Thanks for looking and commenting

Thanks Sylvias. Beautiful area it is in a rural sort of way...low humidity and moderate temps most of the year...and no neighbors for many miles.

Indeed it must have been a very lonely place to live! Good shots, jederick!

Great set. It is interesting in the last few photos that you have captured the green "valley" where the dry sagebrush is next to that lush green. Quite a juxtaposition.

There was a small creek running through the property and I believe it probably was over its bank with run off most of the spring. Thanks for stopping by AuntieM and have a Happy 4th!

Yes, to me the daily drudgery and loneliness would grind most people down...hard to keep the kids on the farm. Thanks for stopping by Ken
