Good to be back home after a week and a half swing through NV and southern CA. Attended a Celebration of Life in Oceanside, CA for my wife's Aunt who recently passed at 95 years. Was able to take mostly lonely back roads through NV and the Sierra's in CA while taking our time coming/going. So was happy to get some interesting places to photograph and am just starting to process some 500 photos.

These photos are of an old homestead in the middle of NV some 40 miles south of Battle Mountain. It lies in a valley between two mountain ranges and must have been a lonely place to live.

Another fascinating series of images of this old homestead. I enjoyed the download of each one. Hard to imagine what it must have been like to live in such a remote area.

Thank You Tom...it must have had a special charm to who ever lived there! The remoteness and effort to make a trip to town a rare diversion and not an often affair. Appreciate you stopping by and leaving comments Tom.
