Go to Costco and get their Kirkland Photo paper. It is the best price and best quality I have ever seen.

I recommend using the paper recommended by the manufacturer of your printer. I have an Epson printer and stricly use Epson paper and ink with excellent results.

I have the 7360.
Think I'll try me some Fuji premium.

I never heard of velvet paper. Is is actually velvet glued to paper or is it just some kind of texture that is applied to the paper in the manufacturing process, ala vinyl flooring, or...???

Since my printer is a Canon, I use mostly Canon Plus Glossy ll, or Hp Advanced Glossy. Both produce about equally good results, with my iX6520 Canon printer.

I bought some Canon Matte paper but have yet to try it, so can't comment on the quality, or dis-quality of that. :)

Epson Velvet paper has a beautiful surface for fine art photographs. You can find more information here....

I love the road life. i been all over the USA, I wish I was into photography at that time in my life. The reason I started a event photo booth is to get me on the road again (a little). I'll be 72 next month doing what young man wouldn't do. I set up a 20x20 EZ up tent, PC and two printers, and over 200 costumes.

I have thought about doing something along this line as I am about to "Retire" from my "Job".... Now I am 67 and want to do something I want to do... I have put together a portable Portrait studio so I can move around. The studio equipment is AC and Battery powered. The printers and computer need AC connections. If I can ask what do you charge the customer for the photo(s) when done?

I bought a Canon Pro 9500 Mark II with 9 tanks. It prints out great pictures. I thought with 9 tanks you wouldn't run out of ink all that fast and it wouldn't be that expensive. . .WRONG! It runs out more often than I would like. I buy only Canon Ink and I buy the Value Pack through Amazon. I, at least, save on the sales tax.

As an experiment, I bought Staples, 13x19 Supreme, double-sided matt. Printed a stitched together mountain scene and it came out pretty nice. I wasn't happy with the photo in the first place. Like I said. . .experiment. But everything printed out very well.
