I am searching for a program that would allow me to convert .dng RAW files to JPG while keeping the original Metadata. Currently, I am using PS Elements to 'process' the RAW files and often have 50 or so pics I need to send out on JPG format. Some of the programs that I have tried tended to strip off the Metadata.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Export from Lightroom as many as you wish with one command. I think it keeps the metadata.

Step 1
Import the photos to Lightroom via File>Import Photo and Video. You can import them directly from the memory card, or you can save them on your computer first.
Step 2
Double click the photo you want to convert and go to the Develop module. Here you can make adjustments if necessary. Typically, I like to adjust at least the white balance, exposure, contrast and sharpening.
Step 3
Right click on the photo and select Export>Export.
Step 4
In the new window, choose the folder you want the JPEG image sent to and rename it. Also make sure to select JPEG under File Settings>Image format. You can also adjust the image size, add a watermark, etc.
Step 5
Click Export in the right hand corner of the window.
Done! Now your Raw image is converted to JPEG.
If you have more than one photo, you can do batch processing. Just select all the photos and follow the steps above. If you don’t have Lightroom on your computer, no problem. Go to
http://www.adobe.com/downloads.html and download the trial version.
Don't have Lightroom.. Not in the budget. I am looking for a long term solution so a trial version won't help... Hoping for a shareware or under $50. program..

Expand the budget. Long term solution is to stop messing around with half-baked solutions and do it right. If time is money, you'll realize the $10/month is more than worth it.
Last year's version of On1 Photo is free and though I have not used it my guess is it will do batch export with adjustments.
https://www.on1.com/free/I think you provide an email and they then start telling of the features you are missing in the current product. Try it and if is satisfactory the full version is only $79 and may go on sale but this older version does not time out and is not a trial.

On1 Photo 10.5 does batch export from dng, but On1 Raw does it better.
The raw conversion engine is brand new in On1 Raw, and handles the conversion much better. I took some raw files, converted them to dng in Lightroom, then exported the dng to jpg.
The free version is just Effects which is a plugin and will not do the conversion. You need Browse which is only available as part of the full standalone Photo package, to do the exporting, which is not free. On1 Photo 10.5 is no longer available anyway.
So to cut to the chase, if you want to do it with On1 software, you'll have to get the $120 On1 Raw 2017.5. You will get more utility out of using Lightroom/PS CC. Especially if you download the free On1 10 Effects plugin. That is another long term solution. There is no easy way around paying for the software you need. Just sayin'
Are you sure that PSE strips out the metadata? You should be able to do a batch conversion with PSE.

Take a look at Irfanview (free). When you download it, also get the plug-ins. They will let you see more info by pressing I and E. It has a very good bulk processing feature.

Adobe has LR and PS for $10.00 per month. That fee includes all updates.
