I do believe you're right! And they may be more forgiving too! Thanks for looking in Tom.
Is that a Maltese or a Coton?

If it's a Coton, would you use a Coton Carrier?

Thanks for looking in, rmorrison1116. She is a maltese and we try to keep her fur,(hair) cut short. She is smaller than a coton at around 7.5 lbs. The papillon also pictured is 8 lbs. She knows she is small, the maltese doesn't.Here is a snapshot of her with longer fur. She is very hard to keep up in this wet climate with long fur because it tangles and mats.

Cute ones. We have a Cairn terrier/poodle and a Shetland sheepdog. Also my daughter in law is training a little puppy.

Thanks for looking in, Karen. Yes dogs 🐶 are great. They help keep the endorphins high 🤗!
My wife's dog looks similar to your white dog. The people at the shelter said they thought it was a miniature poodle and a bichon frise mix but they have been wrong before.

I thought that might be a bit obtuse.

I think they all look similar at times. When they are groomed and have their fur cut it changes their entire look. thanks for viewing and your comment.
We use to have 2 Maltese, Teddy Bear and Angel Bear; Burt and Angie were their "street" names. Burt passed away at the age of 15 from heart failure; I was amazed he lived that long. Angie was 12 when she was the victim of a hit and run that almost took out my wife.
We now have 2 Coton de Tulear puppies. Well, they're a year old now but they will always be puppies. Their formal names are Teddy Bear Too and Angel Bear Too but they respond to the shorter version of their names, without the Too. Their "street" names are Bert and Missy. They are brother and sister and she is a rare variant of a fairly rare breed, she's a long leg Coton, considerably taller than her brother when it should be the opposite.
Your dog's are beautiful, enjoy them...

Thank you for responding. We considered the coton when we setteled on these. Actually we picked the maltese partly because a former associate I had worked with and his wife was a breeder and they were in a bit of hard times. So we went out to their place to visit and there was a brand new litter of these maltese puppies. That was over ten years ago now. So we picked this one and her name is Tolinka Dakota. She does respond to Tolinka. Upon a return visit to see how our puppy was, it just so happened that she had a litter of these papillons that were being picked up that day. All were spoken for except the little one we took home that very day. The rest of the litter was the reddish brown and white color and this one was the only tri color and no one wanted her. We brought her into the house and played with her for a while and that was it! We were hooked and we took her home that night. Her name is Windy Gale. We brought Tolinka home about three weeks later, because the maltese take a little longer to be ready for separation. We really love and enjoy them and they go every where with us. They are excellent travelers as they have been to California many times, Michigan, Florida, Virginia, Weat Virginia, Mississippi, and South Carolina just to name a few. They have flown and traveled by car. Nothing but fun!
