Hello everyone,
Looking for thoughts and suggestions on this thought that popped into my head.
Looking at a Fuji X Pro 2 I like the range finder body and it seems to have good reviews as does the rest of the Fuji line up. My concern here is how are the Fuji cameras? I come from a Nikon background and currently enjoy the d750.
I don't shoot any specific style. I'm more looking at playing with a mirrorless system to broaden my education and experience. I love the Leica system but at this moment the money is an issue for a nice Leica kit. I have read reviews and some seem to say that the quality is right up there.
I'm looking for input in a general nature if you will. Mainly if other members have used the Fuji system and if there are any concerns. Thanks guys!

My experience with Fuji was excellent. I went with Sony because of the video capability and I had Sony lenses I could use and I couldn't afford the Fuji equivalent, but it was a close call. I've had Fuji P&S in the past and they were well-built also. But my Fuji XE-1 was built like a tank. I sold it to a wedding photographer who prefers it to the Canons she was using. She needed more reliability and less weight. She has since replaced her other camera with another newer Fuji X-T2 (It's only money)

I am a recent convert to Fuji. I bought the X-T2 to supplement what I already had. I am hoping they will come out with a relatively lightweight xx-300mm zoom or prime 300mm lens sometime soon. I have the 18 mm, 23 mm, 35 mm (all f2) and 55-230 mm lens- all fine, small lenses and reasonably priced. I picked up the 18 mm f2 lens used from KEH (saved 200.00 over the new price) and it was like new- case of under promise and over deliver. What I like is that the camera is large enough to be comfortable and small enough to be easily portable. The camera and two of the lenses are weather protected. I find the 55-230 is quite sharp and focuses quickly with wonderful color- just wish it was a little longer. It all fits in an elegant Think Tank City Walker 10 with room to spare.

I came from Nikon. So glad I changed. Was only shooting raw before but the jpegs on XT-2 are so darn good.
Xpro is more for wedding, portraits human factors, XT-2 leans more for landscape but both do both, just xpro is better for weddings etc. Investigate both, the new firmware upgrade that came in march was amazing with another one coming soon. I love to put mine in bracket mode & have it set to do 3 different film modes, ie Crome, Velvia & Arcros G so many more features than sticking with Nikon. The firmware updates they are famous for that the other companies hardly do. They just play with a few feature & make you buy a new camera to get them.

You cannot go wrong with the X-Pro2 or the X-T2. I was using Canon and Nikon for many years and switched to the X-T2 in January, just before my trip to Cambodia and Vietnam. I did not have enough time to study the manual and familiarize myself with the camera before my trip, so I just set it on full auto mode for most of the trip. The clarity and color rendition was better than anything I got from my Canon 7d or earlier Nikon cameras. The main reason for my changing to mirrorless was the size and weight factor for my travels, hiking etc. I am in the process of selling my Canon equipment and am really enjoying the X-T2. Fuji make excellent lenses and the camera itself is of excellent quality.

Currently I have 2 X-Pro1's, 3 lenses, the 18mm F2, the 60mm macro, and the 15-55. The optics and build quality are exceptional.
If any more cameras are on the horizon for me it will be Fuji.

I used to have Fuji SLR's in the past and they were just very nice cameras and I also really liked their glass. I too used (and use) Fuji movie cameras and as far as quality goes, they are pretty much the best I have ever used!

I shot Nikon for years and had gravitated to FF with several good lenses. Since I shoot mainly landscape my Nikon equipment became too heavy for me to trek up mountains. After conducting exhaustive research I settled on Fuji and purchased an XT2 with the 18 to 55 and the wide angle 10 to 24. I took this combo to the Columbia Gorge and once I returned home and edited my shots I sold all my Nikon gear. I couldn't be happier with Fuji since the now I have no problems trekking up hill and I am having a ball. Finally, the XT2, with some of the primes that I added, will be a pleasure to shoot when we go on an extended vacation in July overseas. Go for the Fuji XPro 2.

I rented an XPro-2 for a week and loved it. I am really impressed with the X Trans 24mb sensor with its non-linear rgb array eliminating the need for a low-pass filter. In the end I purchased the Fujifilm X100F and it goes absolutely everywhere with me. My Canon DSLR has been relegated to mostly studio work. I am a recent convert to Fujifilm but it has increased my fun in the hobby immensely.

I rented a Fuji X-Pro2 and lightning fast Fuji 56mm f/1.2 lens (85mm field of view) for one week back in late March. Was quite impressed with the many customization features on the camera and the unusually sharp images featuring nice contrast and exceptional color rendition. I strongly recommend the camera or it's hefty brother, the X-T2. Check out reviews of both as well as most of the Fuji lenses on YouTube. Unlike others, I put my money where my mouth is, buying two Fuji cameras and (so far) two lenses. While your Googling, you might explore the recent rumor that the Japanese goverment is considering asking Fuji to acquire and bail out Nikon which has lost a lot of money in recent years. /Ralph

It may not take "better pictures", (that is more up the the guy operating the camera anyway), but the experience may be more likeable. The Fuji cameras and lenses are of excellent build quality, and are engineered for ease of handling and logical operation. All are smooth, elegant little machines and real cameras.

Never say, I won't replace my current set up I'm using.

I was with Nikon for 50 years sold it all and bought into Fuji, loving it.

Thank you all for the information and suggestions! Greatly appreciated, this coming week I will have time to handle one hopefully! Although that will be the ultimate deciding factor, I feel that I will be pulling the trigger on the X Pro 2 and I really can't wait to be honest! Thank you alll, just another reason I love this web site as I also try to push it whenever my conversation turns to photography!
Awesome info awesome group on here!!!

I pulled the trigger on the XPro 2 yesterday! I ended up going to Allen's Camera outside of Philly, funny thing is that its in the same area where I work and never realized it before. Anyway I must admit I have fallen in love with it and it is exactly what I was looking for. I can see why the reviews are good. This Fuji system is a solid performer!
As I mentioned in my original post I'm not looking to replace my Nikon setup up but DAMN I can see why people do.
Thank you all for the info and opinions. I hope to get some images up soon.
