Hello everyone,
Looking for thoughts and suggestions on this thought that popped into my head.
Looking at a Fuji X Pro 2 I like the range finder body and it seems to have good reviews as does the rest of the Fuji line up. My concern here is how are the Fuji cameras? I come from a Nikon background and currently enjoy the d750.
I don't shoot any specific style. I'm more looking at playing with a mirrorless system to broaden my education and experience. I love the Leica system but at this moment the money is an issue for a nice Leica kit. I have read reviews and some seem to say that the quality is right up there.
I'm looking for input in a general nature if you will. Mainly if other members have used the Fuji system and if there are any concerns. Thanks guys!

In my humble opinion the Fuji X Pro 2 will not take any better pictures than your D750. Mirrorless is like an excuse to get another camera.

I rented a Fuji X-Pro2 and lightning fast Fuji 56mm f/1.2 lens (85mm field of view) for one week back in late March. Was quite impressed with the many customization features on the camera and the unusually sharp images featuring nice contrast and exceptional color rendition. I strongly recommend the camera or it's hefty brother, the X-T2. Check out reviews of both as well as most of the Fuji lenses on YouTube. Unlike others, I put my money where my mouth is, buying two Fuji cameras and (so far) two lenses. While your Googling, you might explore the recent rumor that the Japanese goverment is considering asking Fuji to acquire and bail out Nikon which has lost a lot of money in recent years. /Ralph

I switched from a Canon kit (5DSr & 7DII) to a Fuji X-T2 over this past winter. I really enjoyed the weight, the controls and the EVF! The lens line-up was really good except that they kept delaying the release of their new 90mm macro lens which I was waiting for. Also, the focusing for birds in flight was lacking. I ended up reluctantly going back to a heavy DSLR system...a Nikon this time (d810 & d500). I am confident that it's just a matter of time before the mirrorless offerings can keep up with DSLRs in ALL aspects and applications, but for now and for my kind of shooting, I need to stick with a DSLR.

Cool thank you for the replies. Much to consider, I won't replace my current set up I'm using. It's more like adding to my bag. Some days run with the mirrorless setup and other days the dslr kit. Broadening my horizons so to speak.
Please keep it coming, some great information!
Thank you

Love my little Fuji X-E2. I've had the X-E1 and an X-100s as well.
Build quality is excellent. The user interface is easy to understand. I used my X-E1 for about a month without really looking at the instruction book. Very intuitive layout. The lenses are not inexpensive, but with most things you get what your pay for. Fuji made the X-Pan camera for Hasselblad, they also made Several interesting medium format cameras and lenses as well as large format lenses, so they really know thier stuff! Their experience with film has probably helped them develop really good sensors for the digital cameras. I still use the Fuji S5pro in the studio for a portrait camera. The skin tones are amazing.
I've been eyeballing the X-Pro 2 lately myself.
For shooting events and street photography, I think it might be a great choice. Only handled one once so can't be certain. I used to use a Leica in a precious job and it immediately reminded me of the M4. No camera store in Kansas City carries the Fuji. There aren't a lot of Fuji users
here, but most love them. Might get a better but biased opinion on one of the Fuji forums.

I like the x pro 2 alot but I really don't see the Fuji cameras at all. In the next week I'm going to see if Cardnial Camera in Philly has one I can handle and look at. I'd go into New York City to bh photo but I honestly hate going up there with all the traffic and we'll Philly is only 15 minute ride for me.

I've had an X Pro 2 for over a year now after making the switch from Canon (5DII and L series lenses) and have absolutely no regrets. Won't go into the why's and wherefore's but its Fujifilm for me!

I have the Fuji X-T2, an excellent camera, as are the lens. I don't think you can go wrong with Fuji and the lenses are top notch.

I own a canon 5DIII, with a good set of lenses. Last fall, I bought a X-t2, with a few lenses. I find the IQ to be similar and the build quality outstanding. However, as Laura stated, the focus on the fuji just isn't up to the same speed as the canon setup. It's not far behind but, especially with bif, that can make a huge difference. That being said, I still love the fuji and would recommend for just about anyone.

I recently got an X-T2, with the 18-135 lens. I go it before my Nikon D7100. Seems like the ones that put down mirrorless on this site don't have one. Light, great image quality and controls

It may not take "better pictures", (that is more up the the guy operating the camera anyway), but the experience may be more likeable. The Fuji cameras and lenses are of excellent build quality, and are engineered for ease of handling and logical operation. All are smooth, elegant little machines and real cameras.

I have been shooting Nikon's for 25 years, canon before that. I got a Fuji XT-2 several months ago, and the D750 has not been out of its bag since. The XT-2 is a superbly crafted camera with all the necessary features for everything, including sports. Fuji glass is legendary; I have the 18-55 f4 and the 55-140 2.8. The latter is heavy, yes, but the overall experience of shooting the XT-2 with any of the spectacular, fast primes is easily the equal of the D750 and so much less weight! All their glass is incredibly crisp and the colors in JPEGs right out of the camera is absolutely wonderful. I frarely shoot RAW anymore. From my perspective you can't go wrong with either the Pro-2 or the XT-2. BTW, I had the Pro-2 for a while and traded it for the XT-2. It turned out to be the right thing to do for me. Good luck!

I had a D750 and a bunch of Nikon/Tamron glass. Then I got an X-Pro2 for street photography. It wasn't long until I replaced the Nikon system with Fuji. I now use the X-Pro2 and X-T2 with the excellent Fuji glass and couldn't be happier.

"Better pictures". That is in the eye of the beholder. Smaller size and lighter weight and excellent support, cannot be debated.
