Not sure, I think you just need to buy version 10. I don't think they discount it because you have an earlier version. Usually Costco, has it, and it runs around $79.00. I've never priced Ver 10.

I have a question...and this may seem dumb, but I also have PSE7 and I am thinking of upgrading to the PSE10. By doing this, does it just upgrade what you already have? In other words, does it "enhance" (for lack of a better word) what I already have, or does it download a whole new version? Would I have to move my pictures and sets from 7 over to the new version of 10? Does that make sense? Sorry for any confusion.

As far as I know, you buy the complete new version of PSE10. You can leave PSE7 right where it is if you like, or just uninstall it from your computer. I have PS7 and CS (version PS8) both on the same computer. Your pictures should be on your hard drive, or do you save them in PSE7? I keep all my photos on an external hard drive, and many of the same ones on the computer too, not stored in the PSE program, but in various files I made in My Pictures. I also have PSE8.... and a few others ...;0) You can keep your pictures any place you like on your hard drive.

HELP! Hello all. I am attempting to use a trial version of Elements 10. Upon inspection of some long exposure pics I took, I notice I have included the shadow from the tripod in my composition. I am new to post editing for the most part. Is there an easy fix? Greg

I used photoshop CS5, used the spot healing brush tool, under mode: choose replace, and made sure the content aware was checked.
Removed the tripod as well as the shadow on the end of the tree trunk.

First of all, the upgrade price from Adobe for current users is 79.99. You can do this via a download or they will send you the disc, and it is the complete program, good for 2 computers.
After you install PSE10, the first time you launch it, it will check for pevious versions. It will ask you if you want to convert your PSE7 catalog to the PSE10 version. Click yes and you will have your picture catalog automatically converted to version 10. However your catalog will still be in version 7, so you can still use it just as before.
The upgrade from 7 to 10 is well worth the price
Hope this helps you out.

It's 79.99 from Adobe good for 2 computers, from 7 -10 worth it, with the tutorials and guided edit it's much easier than PSE7 IMO
Also seen it on Costco website for 79.99.

Sorry, I only have Photoshop Elements 8. Do you think the PE 10 is worth the upgrade?

I would have to say yes. I'm currently using 7 and going to 10.

A general tip to one and all. Content Aware was added to PSE9, later versions do not have this feature.

Helpfull tip: You can adjust the size of the Healing Brush by tapping one the bracket keys to the right of the letter P on the keyboard. '[' will make the brush smaller and ']' will make it larger.

How can $79.99 be and upgrade price, when you can buy it from Costco, and Amazon for the same price, even if you have never owned any version of it? Big discount for previous users....;0)

It's 20.00 off Adobe's reg. price of 99.99. That said, you can buy it from whomever you choose. The last time I checked Best Buy it was 99.99. Sam's Club didn't have it the last time I checked, but I'm fairly certain they will be the same as Costco.
