Send them back. Quit your whining about every little thing that happens. Figure out yourself what to do. All you are doing is trying to do is get some attention on UH. What do you want? Everyone to quit buying at 47 st.

I think you're confusing 42nd with 47th. 47th St. Photo used to be excellent. Then they closed, and others bought the name a re-opened.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Back in the early 70's I bought all my film gear from 47 st photo. They were a mainstay among NY City photo outlets- remember all those pages of ads in the back of Popular and Modern photography?

No confusion, the ebay listing specifically used 47th St Photo's name and logo. They were always a little sketchy, but offered the best prices on camera gear, and later, all sorts of electronics as well, but have always had a very bad reputation for customer service. But there was a time when 47th St Photo was one of several dozen "legitimate" camera stores, and certainly one of the ones with the greatest sales volume.

As I found out 1st hand, never again, a business gets 1 chance to get it right or wrong with me, they got it wrong so I walk from them. Do you know how to close an account with them, I can find nothing on their site or in my dashboard to allow me to close out my account.

If you used PayPal why are you worried about closing the account. They don't have your financial info.

For my 2 cents, I use Amazon. Fast, easy best prices for the most part. Easy returns. Horrible experience with Best Buy. Do your homework! Nothing takes the place of knowing the reputation of those you deal with. There's no excuse for a sellar to refuse returns, none. The internet is full of warnings about this Den of thieves called 47th street. When will people learn? The price is too low? It's a fraud! Stay away.

Amazon does have a good return policy, but they are not always up front about whether camera gear is gray market. They may or may not advertise something as the "International version." I don't think that everyone realizes that the prices on cameras and lenses are pretty much fixed by the importer (Nikon USA, Canon or whatever). I don't think that everyone realizes that "International version." means no effective warranty in the US. So in a sense, you are rolling the dice when you see those good deals and prices on their site, and if the equipment breaks, it may be too late to return it.

Want your money back? If you used PayPal, you should be talking to them not us. If you purchased from them, you subscribed to their emails. If you're getting emails from them unsubscribe. If you get something again, after a couple of weeks from when you unsubscribed, report it as spam, then delete it.

The difference between 47th street and Amazon is night and day. Amazon back their sales with the best return policy I've ever come across. 'Shipped by Amazon" is a no worry guarantee. I suppose Gray Market can show up anywhere but I just register my stuff the day it comes in. I've never ran into a refusal to guarantee anything I've bought from Amazon. If it's gray market you'll know as soon an you register it. If it is, just return it immediately with no questions asked. I'm just saying, for me, there's no other outlet. Trying to get something waaaaaaay cheaper from a place like 47th street or any other outlet in town or on the net is begging for trouble!

If you had read the reviews on this site you never would have ordered from them in the first place. It's too late now but you learned a valuable lesson we all must learn. "If it's too good to be true it is" and read reviews before you order from a company. This is a bait and switch company and one of the worst.

So true, my bad, lesson learned, at least it wasn't a costly lesson.

Don't want my money back, just what I ordered and paid for, that's all.

I don't disagree. The return policy with Amazon is a safety net. I just think that they should make it more clear in some cases that you're buying gray market goods. It's obvious to me, but it may not be obvious to everyone.

Not looking for attention, but apparently you are, all I was doing was posting my experience here so others could learn from my screw-up and hopefully not make the same mistake I did. After the fact research shows that maybe everyone should stop buying from them.
