You might want to proof read your posts. They're a little garbled.

A, B, Cs, eh? In 73, 79, and 87, these three were in same position as the startup mentioned in the top post. I believe in 75 or 76, I bought from honest Abe at Focus Camera(NYC), and later at Abe's of Maine. Norman's in Kalamazoo had been selling on line for 15 years when B&H showed up in 73. Camera stores, by and large are run by people who love to talk photography, and that in itself tends to make them honest dealers.

I suggest you call the camera shop and find out exactly where your order is - it maybe on a boat from Hong Kong - Six weeks is typical for parts purchased in China. If the company cannot tell you where your order is, give them 24 hours and then cancel the check, card, paypal or whatever you paid with. No company can afford to have inventory set on the shelf any more - they all know they deliver or die. I bet it is on a slow boat from China

Thanks yes, I am planning on doing all you suggested. I normally use B&H they have been very helpful in answering questions about what would best for my needs and budget. These new purchases were spur of the moment price was hard to ignore lesson learned. Thanks for your reply

It was a z type head for my tripod from them a sale within a time frame looked good and cheap but I have learned my lesson about those kinds of adds and the companies behind them. I will stick with US companies and reputable ones at that.Thank you for the information
