Try this; Just take the pictures, examine them for composition and color balance and leave the Photoshoping to those who are perfectionists and never satisfied. Being natural is the best unless, you are working for "National Geographic, Smithsonian or Discover Magazines.
Yes you do, and I have lots of those too! They are great photos though, all of them! Good luck!

Thank you for looking. I discovered that you must use high shutter speeds on moving birds, hence higher ISO and noise.
Keep the race as first photo and then the squirrel.

I love football, I'm a big NY Giants fan and NY Rangers in hocky, that being said the football shot looks like a shot of the fans that I see every weekend on my tv so it does not move me. I would keep 2 & 4
It seems that 2 & 4 ,the race and squirrel, are frequent favorites (except for those who do not like them
)

A local camera club is is having the annual digital image contest. We are allow to make two entries.
Which two of the below images would you eliminate and which two would you submit?
It's worth the time to download and see the bigger images.
I would drop the last two. The first two are great captures.
Good luck and let us know the outcome.

I drop the football game and robin photo. The squirrel is quite a good photo. The race has a lot of intrinsic value in that the first question is what are they doing? It's a great action capture.

I agree with this assessment. I like all the photos but "The Race" and Squirrel are my favorites.
I love the race! I would consider cropping it to a vertical version. I like having some "depth" below the birds and eliminating the flowers on the right. Nice set. Go win!
I like Squirrels we have one that comes onto our deck each morning, I toss a cracker out to it and watch it sit up as if praying to eat it.
OK, I'll change my vote to the race and the squirrel (I would change to a vertical crop.)
The Race and the Squirrel, The other 2 don't tell me anything.

a perfect little squirrel that looks so good it looks unreal, like it was brand new and still happy!
Now it is time to tell us what you think about your work.
Number 1 is too busy. Number 4 is nice and sharp but squirrel pics are a dime a dozen a little like sunsets. 2 &3 to submit.Don
