How does everyone like tripod leg wraps on their tripods? Also what brand or where did you purchase them. Thanks

Leg wraps are very important in a number of cases, at least for my use. Outdoors I almost always use a carbon fiber Gitzo Series 5 tripod. The leg wraps cushion it for carrying, and in cold weather make it much easier to handle.
The very nice wraps that I have are made from sections of foam pipe insulation, with a wrap of black duct tape at each end.

I like it in the winter, but I do not use any brands, but instead cheap pipe insulation, so far has worked nicely for me!

Many use pipe insulation foam available in many hardware stores.

I'm quite fond of them for the reasons stated previously. We had a similar post a short while back and I suggested that if you didn't have foam pads and wanted them If you haven't got foam pads and want them a trip to a local watersports shop should get you a dense sticky back neoprene used for outfitting kayaks etc. Looks a bit neater (and possibly more effective) than pipe lagging.
I like the Gitzo leg wraps, when out shooting the whole day in freezing weather they keep your hands from getting numb. I like that they fold flat when I pack my tripod and you can wrap them around equipment as an added level of protection in your bag, if needed.
Hardware store foam pipe insulation, spiral wrapped with "hockey tape"..Looks and works fantastic, and doesn't fray or come un-done Cost me about $10 USD, with enough left over to re-do it in a couple of years, or do an additional tripod!! Go to a search on you-tube..Many have done just what I described..

I noticed that Amazon has a number of different wraps ranging from $8 to $54 Just search tripod leg wraps. B&H also carries a nice selection same search.

You don't need no stinking leg wraps unless your equipment will be subjected to extreme temperatures. And even then, you can get along just fine without them. This assumes you have a decent tripod and not one of those flimsy-legged junk supports.

I use a "decent tripod". Gitzo Series 5 tripods do fit that category. The leg wraps are essential, both in summer and winter. If the tripod goes out the door with you it needs leg wraps. There is no point in getting along without something that useful and also that inexpensive.
Op-Tech makes nice ones. They are what I use.
