You said you have looked at and checked the camera, but yet you say it should be here today. That story does not fit.

My friend takes her 120 film to a place in Tucson. It's not Jones, but I don't know the name. TCR gave her the name and address. I think I'd do Duayne's.

One other thing you might want to think about; see if the batteries are made with mercury (?). I don't think they make that type of battery any longer. Don't know if any newer type of battery will work in that particular camera. Had to get rid of my old Yashika because of that reason.

RE-read the post.

The case that was with the camera fell apart.

The OP is getting another case, "in good condition," that should arrive tomorrow.

The CAMERA looks OK.

Apparently the Mamiya C22 was released in 1966 and replaced by the C220 in 1968. The next step is to buy some 120 film, fire some shots and get them developed. Stay tuned...

How does the bellows look? Have you tested the bellows for light leaks?

Mechanical shutter, no meter, no battery, no problem!

I inherited a very similar camera way back and never gave it a thought. Thanks to your post you have piqued my interest.

I found a great deal on a C33 with an in the mid 70's. I had just graduated from college and had no money. When I got married I was the wedding photographer with the C33 and a mechanical timer. My wife was and still is a real trooper. Still get the camera out once in a while and shoot a roll of Film.

I had a C330 that I sold for $400. when I switched formats. Now I see them going for about $100. Glad I got rid of mine when I did. Now there just door stops.

Nice, my first professional camera was the C33, which I purchased in 1965 new for $265 with a 75mm lens.

rmalarz, Thanks so much for the link. This place looks really cool! I used to live in the valley (1980's) and I wish I would have known about something like that then. Needless to say if I ever make it back down that way it will be a MUST STOP location.

C22, that should be a really cool camera, kind of a poor man's Rolleiflex. Yet far better than the simpler Yashica Mat (we'd destroy those in college). I believe one or more of the later C220 or C330 models had changeable Twin-Lens assemblies. That is something over Rolleicord and Rolleiflex.

I believe he meant he found (another) leather case and that should be arriving. I did not find it THAT confusing.
