[quote=MT Shooter][quote=Rongnongno]err has different origins. One is using an older lens and not twisting the aperture ring to wide open.

Seriously??? Not even close to proper information, again.
And as usual you are the horse arse. If you truly knew your Nikons you would know this is one of the specific cases when the ERR code appears but no.....
Freaking cretin.

Yes I do know Nikons, clearly a whole lot better than you do. Aperture ring on lens not locked at
MINIMUM aperture results in
FEE message. Quit putting out suck rediculously false and mis-leading information and you will look less of a moron..........MAYBE!
Keep your bile for someone who cares.

MT Shooter is obviously correct. "fEE" is from not setting the aperture to the
minimum setting, the opposite of wide open.
A reasonable response from you would have been simply to admit that you misspoke.
Name calling on your part shows that
you care or you would have reacted differently.
The post was about an ERR message. I gave a shutter plate fix that occurred on one and the link below that I provided showed Nikon attempting an aperture control mechanism. Why the disparity?? Someone wants to include FEE and we're off and tooting! Jeesh!

There was an issue early on with some Lexar sd cards. Nikon did a work around with a firmware update you could do at home. I switched to a different brand sd's for that camera. No issues.

The reason for the digression is that Ron mentioned it. He could have been more careful with his answer.
You link, by the way, produces the error "The requested resource is not available." Maybe you can correct that or re-post.

Have any USHERS encountered an ERR symbol in the viewfinder or LCD of their Nikon D500? I'm seriously considering that model, but after chatting with a fellow UHHER I'm rethinking my choice. What are your experiences with the D500? Thanks to Nikon Bill for his insight.
I also have a D500 and haven't had any issues with it.

I've owned my D500 for a year and have had no problems whatsoever: and I have put thouasands of images through it.
Have 10,000 clicks in 9 months.📸📸📸📸 No problems.
Over 40,000 shots on mine not a single err message. I haven't heard of any issues with it from anyone but if you buy it and don't like it I'll take it off your hands.
Probably lens not making contact . 75,000 on mine without a hitch !
