After researching, there is a locale fairly close to you that, recently, observed one. Here are the GPS coordinates: 42.9459155,-85.7170594 The location is called "Millennium Park--Trestle Trail ponds, Kent County, Michigan, US". Here is a link to a report and thank you for your words!!
http://ebird.org/ebird/hotspot/L4177923I do know where Millennium Park is. I have a granddaughter who wants to take me there. We just haven't made it yet but I'm looking forward to going and it looks like I'll see quite a variety of feathered friends. It would give me a thrill to see the Merganser. I really appreciate your info, Pipkin. Thank you!
