RIP Steve ...
My Rottweiler Steve, who has been fighting cancer for the past year, suddenly crashed over the weekend and I had to make the very difficult decision to have him euthanized. We indeed fought the good fight but despite everything the Veterinary Oncologist did the cancer won the battle. Memory is still pretty raw and I still hurt but I wanted to thank the oncologist, the surgeons and my regular vets for the care they gave him in his final months. To do that I used a Photographer's Edge card and put this photo in it. It's one of my favorite pictures of the big lug nut, taken about 6 months before I discovered the cancer and we started down that path.
As always I'd like any C&C that you might have. The original photo, taken in the middle of my pasture in the late afternoon sunlight, was a bit over-exposed so in Smart Photo Editor I adjusted exposure, lights and darks, lightened up the left side of his face as shown so his right eye could be seen and applied a gentle vignette which seemed to me to be appropriate given the circumstances.
Rest In Peace Steve ... I miss you a lot.
So sorry for your loss. My heart hurts for you. Steve was beautiful!
All dogs go to heaven, now Steve has no pain or suffering. It's a hard thing to do, but you did the right thing for Steve. He will be there waiting for you when your time comes . May he Rest In Peace

A VERY BEAUTIFUL BOY!!!
You have my deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved friend. I have lost many pets over the years and I know the pain you are feeling. You have a beautiful photo to help you remember all the great times that you shared. Rotties are awesome dogs.
Thoughts and prayers for you and Steve from myself, my Golden Retriever-Murphy, my 22 cats and 5 birds.
My deepest condolences. I lost 2 of my pets, a dog and a cat last year. I know what you are going through. I hated making the decision. But they are both resting in peace now.

My sympathy - he was a beautiful dog, but I feel sure you'll see him again one day.
Great picture of Steve, will help with future memories. Our pets are part of the family, they will live on with us for ever. I feel your pain.

Very sad for your loss tbohon,
As a dog lover, I know how hard is to "just" lose one of the greatest loyal friend, and devoted family member. The good memories will always remain in our hearts , and the picture is a grate way to show that.
You can now ease your mind a little, he's up there will all our past dogs , barking to the moon, and never in any pain.
warm hugs from us here in Oslo
