His rights do not stop just because he is employed. His company could have fined him or fired him but they
could not take away his right to protest as he did.

I am inclined to agree with you on this. Besides the fact that it was pretty hypocritical of him to disrespect the flag of the country who's Constitution made it possible for him to make millions playing a game. Politics does not belong in the workplace, and a football stadium is just as much a work place for players as an office building or a construction site is for other workers.

When I'm in South America I have no choice but to watch soccer, but, to tell
you the truth, American football is THE game. Soccer puts me to sleep.

Don't quite understand your question but since there's no more NFL games on TV, I watch Pittsburgh Penguins hockey and University of Pittsburgh basketball games.

As above he is an employee. The rules are different for a private company. The employer sets the "laws". If an employee breaks those laws-in this case disrespecting the anthem- The employer has the right to dismiss him. And depending on his contract- he/she may not be paid.

Spring training is upon us so we do what we do every February; , toss the "small ball" & swing the bats in a couple of.weeks hit the cages. We have done this for more than62yrs. Can't wait to smell the newly moon grass in late March.

No football--no big deal. Besides, Daytona will be here in two weeks.

I tried to watch the Daytona 500 a few years ago and turned it off after about 20 laps. I don't understand why NASCAR is so popular. I have even tried watching NASCAR on road courses and it is only marginally better than on ovals. However, the road racing season started last month with the Rolex 24 at Daytona, and IndyCar starts in St. Petersburg March 12; the Sebring 12 hour is March 18. It will really get going in Australia March 26 when the F1 season starts. Go Ferrari!

Also, as the weather improves I'll be able to do more flying with my radio control airplanes.

There's also the NBA, and the GS Warriors are fun to watch. We'll also be watching some Giants baseball.
