I print with an Epson 7900 and ImagePrint is used for all printing.
For some stupid reason all publications are dated a month early, except newspapers.
I can assure you that I received the March issue of CR.

Been using my MKII 9000 several years without problems and beautiful results. Been using color ink jet printers as long as they have been made. If you aren't doing your own printing, you are missing half the fun of photography. (My opinion)

In the minds of of most magazine publishers, dating each issue in month ahead of when it the subscriptions get mailed is financial, not stupid; as it increases the shelf life and most publishers do it. The March issue you got in February is salable at retail from mid-February through the end of March. The casual buyers who pick up that issue towards the end of March assume it is current, and the subscribers who get the March issue by mid-late February think they are getting an advance copy so don't care.
Some years ago some employees of at least one company that handled the bulk mailing for some financial magazine (don't remember which one) went to jail for trading stocks based on inside information. When the magazines arrived for mailing a week or so before the "the date", they would look them over for the upcoming company information and/or stock tips, then buy the securities before the issues were out for delivery and the information released. By the time the subscribers got the magazines, the stocks had already increased in price so the employees had bought in early; the SEC deemed their early knowledge to be illegal insider trading, filed criminal charges, and won.

It's all about consumer grade color inkjets, not photo grade printers. That's why it is called "Consumer Reports".
Its not the printer it the photo paper you use, old paper will mess up prints. Red River paper works best for me its fresh. I been using Canon and Epson for over 5 years work best for ink jet printer. When I buy a printer I look at the price of refill ink. Last month I bought 10 Canon MG3620's for $30. each refill ink cost $25. Last week I got a Epson wide format for $150. at Best Buy and a CISS system on ebay for $40. or I can get refill ink for $17. all 4 colors. You ask why all the printers I run a business event photography (Novelty PHOTO Booth) photos while you wait. All jets work great with the ink that comes with it but the refill ink maybe yes or maybe no, stay with the one that makes you printer works best. I print over 1,000 prints a year, Epson, Canon, and HP or you best bet. Paper try Red River's sample pack (
http://www.redrivercatalog.com/samples/ ) and see what works for you. I love the prints that the 66lb. Polar Pearl Metallic makes. I hope this will help in some way to better your art. anGODbless
I have a Canon Pro-100 printer using Canon's Print Studio Pro with fantastic results.

I use a Canon printer and ink from LD Products and all4ink.com. That one was offered on Amazon and earned hundreds of rave reviews. It's every bit as good as Canon ink, and it's almost free compared with Canon's price. The lights on the cartridges even work!

I'll be sure to ignore THAT!

I forgot to mention that I print from Lightroom CC. Once you get a nice print you can make a preset and the consistency is right on.
You are correct. However there are features that apply to ALL printers.
today I use a Epson, canon was good, and hp was fantastic. on my wish list is a printer with a dry ink that activates by electric impulse and last indefinently.
