Everything is happening now, at the same time. Our brains apply a set of filters that only allow us to see part of what is out there. Which is why crazy people are crazy; they are being bombarded with information that they can't process fast enough. See "Doors Of Perception" by Aldous Huxley

What? No such thing as time travel. What about that new TV series "Timeless"? Explain that if you can. I just watched the episode where they rewrote who shot Jesse James in the back and where it happened. You thought it was Robert Ford, didn't you? And did you know that the Lone Ranger was based on a black lawman named Bass Reeves . Actually I learned that from Bill O'Reilly on his "Lies and Legends" series.

I'm not familiar with "Timeless," but the "Lies and Legends" series sounds interesting. That's what we need on TV - more lies.

I've been watching two series on Netflix that involve time travel - "Continuum" and "Travelers." Entertaining, but not a realistic situation.

Yes, I had more time on my hands yesterday, too.

Einstein seemed to have a few thoughts about speed and light. LOL.
When I was 12 years old, I thought my Dad's 49' Olds 98 was about the fastest thing in the world and his 46' Dodge, with Fluid Drive, the slowest. (The 46' Dodge was totaled when it completely burned in the garage)

Time travel is a fascinating subject for movies and books, but I don't believe it will ever be possible. Why not? There is no past, and there is no future, simple as that. They do not exist as places we can visit. The past is a memory, and the future has not happened yet. Sure, there is the currently irrelevant phenomenon of tremendous gravity or tremendous speed slowing down time for the people involved, but that's not the same thing. Any opinions?

I agree, to a point. I think you can not ever travel back in time, but I think you can travel into the future, RELATIVELY. As Einstein proposed, if a person could travel near the speed of light for a given amount of time and was able to return to where they started. They would return far into the future OF the starting point, while only a short amount of time will have passed in the vehicle you travel in. Therefore you traveled into the future, but only relatively.

I believe it is possible, but it will require that we travel near or above the speed of light. Get a book on Relativistic Physics and do a bit of study on the subject. If you're rusty, brush up on your calculus a bit as you'll need a good understanding of it. Relativistic Physics is a fascinating field. Some of the concepts can knock you off your feet.

Wouldn't it be fun to travel so fast you could get there before you leave.
