Nice photos. I was getting ready to comment on the rider's form, the nice medium trot, etc., and then remembered this is a photography forum :-) The setting seems to be a perfect backdrop for your subject. Well done.
Thank you everyone all comments greatly appreciated
Subject well shot! For me, I would have cropped the pics closer
to eliminate some of the extraneous background After all the subject is the Horse and Rider.
Picasa is a great simple tool to achieve what is needed

Maybe try setting your camera to take short bursts of 5fps. on 1/500 shutter speed and f/9Ap. This was taken with a Nikon and a similar lens as yours. You will capture the riders and horses expressions at the same time. CJ7

I'm not that familiar with equine photography but it looks like you are on a great start. There are other here who have more experience with this type of photography. I will see if I can find the names so I can get them to you.
Saw the request for info. I shoot all types of equine photography. Let me know if you need any suggestions. CJ7
The horse just has to be an Arab, and his looks make the photos spectacular. What fun.

Thanks for the comment, Actually most of the horses that compete at the World Cup level are "Warmbloods" Mine are "Dutch-Canadian" and "German" both stand at near 18H CJ7
