To recycle at Staples, you need to enroll in their rewards program and use your account number whenever you make any purchase. You can recycle up to 10 cartridges/month (more if your level of purchases entitles you to a higher level membership) provided that you've purchased at least $30 in ink within the past 6 months. You receive $2/cartridge in rebates which you can apply to purchases at Staples. In addition to recycling, the rewards program gets you 2% or more in rebates on all purchases. Pretty good deal since membership is free.

I recently got an email from Costco that they now offer cartridge refilling at my local warehouse. Has anyone had any experience with Costco refills?

I did it a couple times....first one worked okay, but didn't last very long. Second one leaked all over......I took it back, and haven't done it again.

After cleaning out a dusty shelf in my garage, I came across a fair sized box of empty ink cartridges, mostly Epson but some HP/Lexmark--some old and some fairly current. I used whatever my Mac dealer was giving away with the purchase. The printer's themselves have been sent to recycling as they died. At one time several of the office supply stores would give a few $$ credit for a new one. I haven't seen any mentions of that being available lately? It seems as though the Epson's were never to be used for reloading but perhaps that's changed. I recently added a Canon Pro 100 so it too will be spitting out empties very soon.

I know Staples gives credit monthly depending on how many ink cartridges or toner cartridges you turn in.

Office Depot does too, up to 10 per month, you need to have a rewards card to get the points

Both Office Depot & OfficeMax are now owned by Staples

Staples will pay $2.00 per cartridge for most brands including Epson.

Nothing is perfect, and there will always be people who are dissatisfied. I'm sure there are several thousand
people who are happy with their service and products, and so far I'm one of them. As for delivery time,
I received my order in four days.

Schools and sometimes churches will accept used cartridges. You won't get any money, but they will benefit from the donation.
