Ink cartridage recycling!

After cleaning out a dusty shelf in my garage, I came across a fair sized box of empty ink cartridges, mostly Epson but some HP/Lexmark--some old and some fairly current. I used whatever my Mac dealer was giving away with the purchase. The printer's themselves have been sent to recycling as they died. At one time several of the office supply stores would give a few $$ credit for a new one. I haven't seen any mentions of that being available lately? It seems as though the Epson's were never to be used for reloading but perhaps that's changed. I recently added a Canon Pro 100 so it too will be spitting out empties very soon.

I went to that site, they are all remanufactured cartridges. Have you ever had a problem? are they remanufactured by Epson?
Thanks,

Yes the are remanufactured. Never had a problem with them. My printer takes 7 cartridges. Epson price is $15.00 each,
Ink Tech is $4.50 each when you buy 12 or more, plus free shipping.

Staples will accept a few with each visit. You get $2.00 credit for each one, and they send you a check online every quarter. You have to sign up for their "whatever they call it" plan to do this.

Office Depot does too, up to 10 per month, you need to have a rewards card to get the points

Staples does require that you BUY ink from them also. I'm not sure they actually do keep track, but it's easy to do these days. Their latest version of this plan is that you get a rebate on the purchase plus the $2 for returning the cartridge. But if they don't have a record of you purchasing the cartridges you return, they just say thank you. They remanufacture them and sell them under their own brandh.

When you get a supply of empty Pro 100 cartridges you might want to contact Spiney on this site. He is looking for empty Pro 100 cartridges and will pay for them. His post is here:

Glad this company has worked for you. Thought I'd check it out. As a cautionary note, here's a link to their reviews on Yelp:

They no longer require you to buy ink. You just have to sign up as a rewards member. No cost. There is supposed to be a limit each time but I have taken 8 in at once without a problem. They send you a rebate quarterly.

Wow. by the looks of those reviews the first one looks like it was done by the president of Ink Tech and the rest were just AWFUL. Bye bye Ink Tech. Bye the way. I just throw my used ones out. I have given a bunch of them to Staples and have gotten NO credit for them. There's a time limitation and if you don't buy from them frequently you're shit of of luck. But I bet THEY made a profit off of my cartridge and time. To me it's not worth the effort.

I have used LD Products (ldproducts.com) for over 6 years. Have purchased for both Canon and even the picky HP I currently have....no problems. In a 6 year period, I have had a couple bad cartridges....quickly replaced with an email or phone call to the company.

Staples is shutting down in the UK !!! So it must be called their 'BYE BYE plan'

Staples Office Supply pays for recycled cartridges- they may limit it to printers currently being marketed?
