Not asking you for your opinion on background, asking about shave or no shave. Stay focus on subject. That's how things on this blog gets off track and crazy.

She is a beautiful woman that deserves a more considerate photographer. She is NOT a toad for you to dissect. The photo should be evaluated, not her.

It's a nice shot and she's a beautiful woman. As far as the hair....I surprised myself by only having negative feelings about what looked like hair on her legs.

Boy I wish you hadn't posted that. Guess I didn't enlarge the picture and notice the hair on her legs. Hair under arms and her nether region not my favorite but on the legs a total turn off for me.

i'm still a hair man. I like long hair, under arm hair, pubic hair, and last and kinky, leg hair. God put it there and I like His way of aranging things. to hell with here today gone tomorrow fads. this kick with hairless bodies is only 50 or so years old.

Rob, I have worked with models who are both 'natural' and 'smooth', and I have no personal preference. I always defer to the individual model's own 'look' and never ask them to 'change' do me.

I'm pretty much the same as you.
Since the models comes to me and I shoot for them. I don't put any request on them. Occasionally I'll ask for curiosity as I did here.
Eleanor was concern about her body recovering from her accident and wanted some images and didn't care about shaving.

Reading the comments, I'd say this is what is known as a "tough room." With or without body hair is a cultural and personal preference choice unless you are entering it in a specific rules contest. Artists emphasize what they want. What do you care what any of us think about her hair? You are the artist...not us.

Rob, I personally have no preference when it comes to body hair on a model. I have always deferred to the model's own feelings about what they are comfortable with. Too many people feel pressured into shaving or waxing themselves to look like a preteen, and some women actually look better 'natural'. I applaud you for your support of this young lady. She is truly beautiful, and your photographs will be good therapy for her recovery.
