Grew up in Bflo. You will not be disappointed if you cannot go on the Canadian side.

I have been visiting Niagara Falls for as long as I can remember. As I kid my parents took us almost every year. I even saw the Falls, when the water was turned off to repair the American Falls. I saw the Robert Moses power plant being built.
If you can, try to see the Falls at night when they are lighted. The best view for that is the Canadian side. There are so many things to do a book could be written.
Be prepared for a cold spray from the Falls. Also, keep the moisture off of your camera. I suggest searching the internet for all of the possible activities in both sides. The State of NY and Ontario Provence have brouchures on the Falls.
Just check to be sure the attraction is open in November. I am sure you will have fun. Post some photos when you get home.

I am hoping to stop by Niagra Falls around Nov. 19 or 20, on the way home from New Hampshire. I will be pulling a 37ft 5th wheel RV trailer. I was wondering 1) of any campgrounds close that might still be open? & 2) Recommendations on viewing the Falls?

I thank you for any and all input.
Have a good day,

One thing not mentioned yet: unless you have a Weather Resistant camera, be extremely careful with it. Two years after we were married, my wife and I took the long way from our home in Indiana to a "command performance" family reunion my parents threw in Michigan - we went around Lake Erie so we could see Niagra Falls. My wife had promised to put together a "memory album" for my parents, but by the time we got to the reunion, my two-year-old Pentax SLR wasn't working right; fortunately I had taken my old rangefinder camera with us also. When we got back to Indiana, I sent the SLR in for repairs; they got it working again, but it was never right, and I bought a new one a couple of years later {the verdict was that it had gotten slightly damp at the Falls}.

We went to the falls last spring and stayed on the Canadian side. Just be ready to spend your money because nothing is cheap..... But we did have fun and the falls from that side is breath-taking!

The Canadian side also has a wonderful botanical garden not far from the falls.

There is also a butterfly conservatory and an aviary. both allow photography.

Let's see how many remember!

Made one visit to the falls. Stayed on the Canadian side. Lots to do. We had a lot of fun and great views.

I remember that act from Abbot and Costello. What movie was that in?

I think it was "The Three Stooges" with that routine in it.

Here is the Youtube video I found. There might have been an earlier 3 Stooges version.

Both used that routine, and probably others besides. Congratulations, you both get a cookie for remembering!

I found this Youtube video with the 3 Stooges. I think I like this one better only due to the presence of Curly, one of the finest physical comedians I have seen.

Another thing about UHH is the depth of culture one comes across here.

I can't comment on what RV parking might be available but I have lived near Niagara Falls all of my life and have been shooting pics there for 40 years. I have always found that the American side is by far the best for photography. You just don't have the access to the rapids or the falls themselves on the Canadian side that you have on the American side although the Canadian side is MUCH better for tourists looking for things to do other than see the falls. Make sure you plan to do a night shoot so you can capture the falls all bathed in colored lights. If you want some good, authentic Italian food while you're here try the Como or Michael's. Enjoy your stay!
