I was stationed there just before my trip to the Med. Would like to go back with my wife and tour the place but guess we could not since 9/11 and I have no one there I could visit. At 80 I will be lucky to get a picture of the front entrance. Hope you have a grate visit with your son and thank him for his service in the greatest service in the world. Once a Marine always a Marine, Semper Fi.

You have a well stocked camera kit bag with great equipment. Please pass along a Semper Fi from a twice Vietnam era Marine. Tell him the, "Old Corps", is mighty proud of the new Marines on duty. Please share your photos.

Tell your son an old Juggie from the 5th Mar Div sends his best wishes. Visit any museum that the base may have.
Enjoy your family!

The wife and I are driving down to Camp Lejeune to spend a day or two with our Marine Son and so I loaded up the sling bag. It's an Amazon Basics bag that got really good long term reviews and was only $20.00.

I'm ready to go; I have the FM2 with the 35mm f/2 attached, the bag has the film and all of the other goodies and my wifes Isolette came today!

Hopefully I'll have something worth looking at by the weekend. :)

Good for you. Give him a Semper Fi for me. 1st Force Recon 60-68.

Give your son a "Semper Fi" from an Old,old, old Marine. You notice I didn't say Ex Marine, there are no Ex Marines. Once a Marine always a Marine.
And thank him for his service.
Semper Fi

Have a good time. I am sure my son and a handful of relatives would pass on semper fi as they are still always marines.
