logey im upset. Your first picture of the street scene has captivated me completly and i cant figure out why. It is burned into my mind for some reason and i could draw a pix of it ,including every single brick.
without ever seeing the image even once more. Ive tried analysizing the composition of it ,but it evades me ,and im beggining to tink its is one of those rules that havent been invented yet. Your other selections do show a command of composition ,so can you tell me ...What was it that caught your eye...did you see something special in the scene. Or am i a bit screwy.

I am not good at this night business. 5 PM is wine time. 9PM is beady bye time. Never thought it was a good idea to catch a lightning shot before I turned into toast. Patience is not one of my long suits. So, here are some efforts that hopefully will not be too embarrassing.

Dear Hamtrack:
You have absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about. Your pics on page 5 are wonderful! (Particularly the second image)
All the best,

O.K., PG--here's challenge for you. I would guess you are like me----I delete all the bad pix asap. So as an assignment, lets be honest and show our loosers. Might be fun--or embarassing.
I've been following you since Day 1; but I can't figure out the UHH procedure for posting pix. sorry. ALYN

I really like your last shot with boats and lights on the water :)

all you need is a little post processing.. i was amazed to find out how a wider open lens changed the density.. figuring that the exposure equals out...

It was worth staying up after doing my night shoot just to beat Bushido.... so here are my night shots... it was the first time i used my tripod in about 5 years... but i still knew how to set it up... the biggest problem was focusing... had to use manual... i let the camera do the exposures... i did have one problem on my first shot .. i set the camera up and couldn't see the subject so i just shot... and after a really long time the camera shut off.. but i couldn't see the image either... after two more try's i realized that the lens cap was on... so i left the area with no street lights and drove 15 miles to town... sorry if i post too many. you won't hear much from me today.. i'm really tired.
It was worth staying up after doing my night shoot... (show quote)

[quote=photogrl57]Welcome to Day 148 :) Sorry if I've been preoccupied these last few days y'all .. I've been very busy and no time for anything .. especially me lol. Saturday was just hectic all day .. so when I went out to shoot for today .. of course nothing turned out .. so my examples are sub par .. but they are all I have.
Today we are going to attempt Night Photography. Minimum 1 second exposures. For these examples I tried to use shutter priority ..but ended up using manual settings... which is why the focus is off too ...I just don't see well at night...and auto focus wouldn't stop adjusting itself .. LOL. So here are what I got..such as they are..I sure hope you have better luck than I did:)

Hello Everyone:
Here are a few from archives...
Have a great day-or should I say night?
