I loved seeing that area and photographing it. Looking at others' photos, I think I missed a lot!

Very nice series! I've always wanted to get back there for another visit.
Shot number 4 can be really spectacular with just a bit of tweaking in the PS camera raw filter. I suggest that you correct (adjust) the white and black points, apply the haze slider a bit, then warm up the shot slightly to +8. That will earn you a WOW. If you want to see what that looks like without trying it yourself, send me an email and I'll send it to you.
