It's all about corporate earnings. The stories that sell the most ad space are the ones that get the focus. And broadcast media is the worst. Sensationalism, blood, grief and nonesense, that's what a lot if not most, of them push. Remember a few years back, when all we heard about for days on end, was Britney Spears' latest meltdown? Important events all over the world were almost completely ignored, but we heard about her every damn day.
So true. And look at the political news today, always Hillary with smiles and in the best light, if there is such a thing. I know he has it coming at times but always Donald Trump's reports are always negative. If they, the TV stations, continue and they will because they are all left leaning liberals and refuse to report on Hillary's lies then I feel that they are making the news and not fairly reporting the news. I don't watch the BBC anymore because they are so one sided in their reporting.
What has happened in Greece? Have they solved all their money problems, nothing heard lately. There's more ad time then news. After the first 10 minutes you may as well turn it off. All that's left is filler junk and the last bit after all the dread is a feel good story to end the news. It's so bad that I don't know where to turn for real truthful news anymore.
