Sounds like a good deal to me Mark. I have an SX50 but if you want some tips on using this camera contact Linda from Maine. She has posted some great images on UHH taken with her SX50. Good luck.

I have wanted the convenience of carrying a bridge camera. Can't lug my 5D MIII, 7D MII with Canon f/2.8 lenses all the time. I've been looking at the SX 60 for a while, but the price was a bit high. I was about to purchase a refurbished one from Canon, but I did an Ebay search and found a one month old item (with a warranty card) for sale. Owned by a woman who used it once and could not return it to Best Buy due its purchase date. $350 with free shipping. I think it's a good deal. If it does not live up to my needs/expectations I'll put it up for sale on Ebay.

I have read some UHH posts indicating they thought the IQ of the SX 50 was better. Canon has not had refurbished 50's for a while.

Good choice and one heck of a deal you got. 16 megapixels and a focal length to over 1300mm. Viewfinder and it shoots RAW. Enjoy it.

Thanks. I've read online reviews and UHH posts. Looking forward to it's delivery this week. From the pricing I have seen at Canon USA, B & H and EBay, I think I made a good choice. The only risk I've taken is a no return policy of the seller. However, I do have a copy of the receipt from Best Buy, indicating that it was purchased in July, 2016. So the Canon warranty is still valid for another 11 months. I also have EBay's return policy. I've purchased on EBay before and have not yet been stung.

I had an issue with one of Ebay's sellers. I wrote them an email and heard nothing in a week. I then wrote Ebay and suddenly I received a response from the seller the same day. Ebay stands with their customers.

Yes, they do. I have been both seller and buyer.

My only disappointment with the 50 is that minimum aperture is f8 limiting depth of field. Other than that, it is a welcome alternative to the bigger DSLR !

I have both the SX50 and the SX60 .The quality of both are almost the same ,but the SX60 having more 1/3 more pixels give you a bigger file so you can work better

I love that story. The granddaughter is much more special than any camera. I'll be happy to post a few after Friday, day of expected delivery.
