.22 is the best. It goes around the cranium scrambling the brain. Rarely exits the skull and it is quieter too. All excellent advantages over larger caliber as well as being cheaper.

I would allow the survivors of the victim(s) in horrendous crimes to be able to select and carry out the method of executing the convicted. It would be elective of course.

Lethal injection is probably one of the most painful ways of killing people. It's nothing to do with justice, it's about revenge.

If you're going to execute people then it should be in the most gory, cruel way you can imagine. The Guillotine is perfect as is drawing and quartering along with public hanging. It should be televised on every channel and done at a state fair or carnival every year while people are there to watch it.
The death penalty is barbaric and the best thing we can do is make carrying it out just as barbaric so that people know what they're doing.
