The list goes on. I'm not terribly upset by the the new "language uses". Language is always evolving. However, lately, due to technology and instant notifications, the evolution seems to be accelerating. Too often for me, I notice expressions, phrases and words with which I am unfamiliar. It reminds me of a famous quote by the great amateur golfer, Bobby Jones when he spoke of Jack Nicklaus. "He plays a game with which I am unfamiliar". Time & progress march on?

And there are a lot more to add, e.g., "Have a Nice Day", when "Thank You", "See you later', "So Long", etc., would be much more appropriate.
Especially, after making a purchase, "Thanks or Thank You" would be far more appreciated than "Have a Nice Day". Such Bull Sh*t I never imagined.
And there is the Stupid acronym, LOL. And, there are more.
And, then there is the telemarketers (and others) who call on you phone and ask, "How are you today" when they, nor anyone else, don't really gives a damn. Why not say, "Hello, this is (name) from (identify where), do you have a minute to talk? Most people will listen if given a bit of information beforehand.
I'd better stop before I get heart palpitations over this ridiculous stuff. Just sayin' (apologies, just making a point).
