That's just one of the things I like so much about kayaking,its so quiet you can up close to herons,egrets,etc.

Yes, but my photos did not do it justice. It actually took my breath away, it was so amazing.

The last image has some amazing reflections from the water up under the wings where they are in shadow. Then the bright sunlight cuts acorss to reveal pure white featheres above. I had to download and then zoom in because I was so intrigued by the dappled light reflected up under her. Great shot!
