Enjoyed breakfast this morning with a Great Egret, Up Close and Personal

From the bayou this morning. The egret wallked right along side of me feeding no more then 3' away, as I took a few shots. I was on a bank about 2' up and the egret was fishing about 1' out. What you see is right out of the camera. She stayed for awhile then flew off to feed the growing babies on the other side of the bayou, they were jumping up and down testing their wings in the nest. Don't you just love having wildlife close by? I spent about a half hour with a blue heron whan I was out in my W kayak yesterday morning. Excellent series, definetely close up and personal!
