I never really encountered right wingers up close much before I joined UHH a couple of years ago. Since then, I have learned some surprising things about right wingers that I didn't know about before. One of the more surprising things I learned is the fact that most of them are thinking about gay sex every day and obsess about homosexuality and male genitals, other people's rectums, and rectal functions.

Also, the most popular response/rebuttal of a right winger to a liberal or other non-right-winger who they disagree with is to start babbling about gay sexual acts usually involving oral or anal sex with the penis, pedophilia, beastiality, or to hurl homosexual slurs. That is based on two years of observation of the behavior of dozens of right wingers here, who represent the majority of right wingers that post in this forum.

Anybody disagree?

You're using a very small sample size to make the generalization "the most popular response/rebuttal of a right winger ....". If you were generalizing regarding just the right wing posters in the Attic, I would agree. I would make a similar generalization that the reason most left wingers post on the Attic is to stir the shit pot. I wouldn't extend that to left wingers in general, though - just an observation regarding those frequenting this cesspool.

Wow! I must have totally misread this thread, I thought that it was about Keenan's obsessive and narcissistic behavior on this site, and here I thought that with his opening statement that he was giving an example for us to critique.... Glad that I read your post prior to responding.

Blurry, I can always count on you to provide the most moronic method of denial and re-direct when it involves commenting on the depraved juvenile behavior of your tribe, to which you have lowered yourself on occasion. You never disappoint. If you are going to put your foot in your mouth and make yourself look like an imbecile in the process, why even bother to comment?

Robert, a measured and reasonable response as usual, if we were all as thoughtful the attic would be a very different place. Your observation about a, "view of the world that left is right and right is wrong 100% of the time", is very much a two way street. This thread is about a level of squalor tolerated by admin for financial gain.

I'm on a handful of special interest sites and none are like the attic. One site's only rules are ... " no religion, no politics, no cussin' ". The others tolerate religion and politics but civility is mandatory, people get banned, threads get locked. For good reason, open slather name calling poisons the rest of a site. Once people get used to being civil on a site most threads stay family friendly.

Remember when Microsoft had an on-line forum division?

I was a member of the "Interfaith" religious forum. We had Baha'is, Christians, Jewish, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, Druids, Wiccans etc etc and just about all flavors of the various sects and sub groups of all of those as members from all over the world. And only rarely did the moderators have to intervene. It was almost all civil, polite etc.

People would offer prayers for other members with health problems, best wishes and prayers for marriages, births etc. etc.
One of the most active threads was actually a recipe/food exchange thing that got started when a Jewish member asked about Holy Day foods of the various groups. The exchange of recipes, comments on the various foods after trying them kept up for a couple of years until Microsoft ended those forums. We even had "contests" to post complete celebration menus and branched out into regional/ethnic foods, not just those connected to the faiths and holy days.
Members of groups that by tradition did not get along well even arranged visits and meetings when traveling to the area where other members lived.

That is the way things should be.

Keenan is thinking like Trump (you know, painting a group of people with the same brush because of a few miscreants....Syrian immigrants.) So is Trump a liberal in disguise or is Keenan a conservative in disguise?

Neither

And my choice would be to provide safe guarded refugee camps as near to their homes as possible instead of moving them around the world. It should be cheaper also. When thing settle down they would be able to go home.
Some of those with education and skills or at greatest risk could be moved to other nations. But only if they have no ties to the terrorists. So, no records to show ties or not, they stay in the camps. If necessary get businesses to build factories next to the camps for jobs and to learn new useful skills.

Yes, that has been suggested time and time again, resettle them in a safe zone, it would cost about 10% of bringing them here, but that is not on the globalist's agenda. Besides, our government can just print all the money it wants and who cares if we import terrorists and terrorist sympathizers as long as the elites in DC can feel good about themselves and collect some new voters along the way.

I will expand on the camp idea.
You look at all those refugees crossing into parts of Europe, a lot of them are young military age men.
Vet them to week out the moles. Put them all into units, have our troops and the troops of the concerned nations train them and equip them then send them home as Armored Mech Units to clear the Jihadists out and take back their homes. Give them advice and training in setting up stable governments and they will have their homes back, nations of their own and have the pride of doing it themselves plus a lot of real home grown heroes to honor or remember at memorial services.
For decades the ones who survive will be the desired husbands etc. And on their Memorial Day or whatever they want to call it they get to tell the stories of "How we took back our land and homes."

I think there is a correlation between being elderly, being conservative, being repressed and being sexually hung up as indicated when conserves and dems disagree. I never see this talk among my friends even when they talk politics. Here, it's super weird.

I don't know any extreme right wingers among my friends and family in the real world. I've only encountered them online. Although the Attic is the most foul repugnant cess pool I've encountered, it is certainly not the only place where I've seen this correlation between hardline conservative and bigotry and tendency to use juvenile insults and homosexual slurs against people with different opinions. I've seen the same correlation on facebook and many other places consistently enough to convince me that there is definitely something going on with the right wing mindset with the average right winger in this country, as far as a deficit of maturity and intelligence and morals.

There are moderate conservatives in my family, and I have never seen them sink to these depths when arguing politics with anyone.

Keenan, when some of these guys get to you, get off the computer. It's not worth arguing with them. Just let it go sometimes, they aren't worth it and you don't want to sink to their level.

True. The best policy is to not feed the trolls and I should just stick with that policy.
