My son-in-law and his brother are in the Navy and are stationed in San Diego; my niece is in the Navy (her father was in subs for over 20 years) and is in Texas learning to be a surgical Tech and I have a nephew who is in the army at Fort Campbell. Close friends of ours have two sons in the service; one is in the air force stationed in sunny North Dakota and the other is one another tour in the middle east . Keep them and all others in our prayers. I think our nation is trying to do good although sometimes we get a whole lot of bad pr.
great pics, love to see the Air Force.

this is not one of my photos, but it was sent to me on ANZAC day here when we remember those of the australian and new zealand army corp. Every person who has fought and laid down their lives so that others can live in peace should always be remembered and revered for what they have done to give us the lives we have today.
Pg. 16 This is a fabulous picture! I Love, Love, Love it!!!

All great pictures from real Americans.
Here's me, Bartulius, about to position a pair of Shrike missiles under an A-4 Skyhawk for a SAM suppression mission.
Back then we had to trade the Marine's for their fatigue trousers. As long as the sorties went out on time, and the accident rate stayed near zero, they never hassled us about appearance.
I believe this was my third combat cruise, 1972, on board the USS Hancock.
On a side note, I'd like to send a salute out to the men who initiated and maintain Arlington West.

Me too and Bartulius, thank you
To all you that served I thank you. I wore army green from fall 1972 thru summer 1975 while stationed near Stuttgart, Germany. Unlike many of you I never saw combat.
This plane flew overhead the other day when I was down with the wolf/dogs. Pulled my Kodak easyshare out of my pocket and snapped pictures. Couldn't see the plane on the screen on the back. Just pushed the button and hoped. These are the only photos of about 20 that came out.
God bless all who do serve and all that have served. Thank you
I too helped out. I was in the 76th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, flying F-102's out of Westover Air Force Base in Chickapee Falls, Mass. I was a jet engine mechanic, with my head stuck up in jet engine bay most days. But, I'm proud to say that in 1972, not a single enemy aircraft penetrated our airspace!
