Welcome to Day 140 :) .. Today is Armed Forces Day .. so we are celebrating all things military. I was planning on going to the base today and photographing some soldiers .. but the camera is still in the shop... so I had to dive into the archives .. all I could really find were some planes from the air shows. Here are a few examples to get us started.. I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

These are really cool photos. I will also have to dig into my archives. Hope that I can come up with something.
The only thing I have is a photo I call Home and Country. I am so proud of the men and women that have servered and are serving our country. I admire the men and women that are joining the military to serve our country in such dangerous situations.
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY
AND
GOD BLESS THE USA
Sorry about the picture. I had to delete all of my pictures from my laptop before sending it in for repair and I haven't got it down loaded on my laptop yet.

great photos photgrl57, especially the last sign we ALL need to pay heed to that, everytime I see a service person I go over and thank them for their service, it is the least I can do pg1
People are talking about delving into the archives so...
These are my Grandfathers photos, taken while he was flying for the USAF during the Korean War. He flew medi-vac of both the injured and the dead. Some photos are too gruesome for me to share. Here are a few I thought were ok...
Just an FYI, I haven't gotten to the intense project of going through the thousands of negatives. I'm hoping that I have the negs for many of these photos.
Titled "The 53rd lands at Puson" (Japan) Look closely, the wing has fallen off...
Dated 1951
Titled "Symgman Rhee" when researched, this was the president of South Korea during the war, exiting my Grandfathers' plane
Rare photo of General MacAurthor smoking a cigerette instead of his pipe. Pipe tobacco was difficult to get in the field.
Titled "Fueling"

The first one is of my Father.
Pat is my nephew and God son. The second picture is Pat and his soon to be wife, Allison in full dress at Westpoint. The third picture is in their Army dress, after graduation. The fourth was taken in Afghanistan, where they both served. Pat is back in Afghanistan for his second tour, while Allison is based at Fort Bliss in El Paso.
