Be careful using Pay Pal. There are scamers who have made up authentic looking fake pay pal documents and attempt to get merchandise by saying money is in Pay Pal account when it isn't.
Be certain money is in Pay Pal account before shipping any merchandise.
The OP is buying, not selling, anything.

Has anyone used PayPal to buy from Adorama or know if they accept Payment from PayPal (I know I can call Adorama). Here is the thing I have made an offer to
Greentoe (Has been mention on here before) to purchase a Sigma 150-600mm (sport) lens which Adorama has accepted, but are not set up at this time to accept PayPal as per Greentoe. Now Greentoe needs me to pay with a standard credit card. I would like a comments from Hog members. I am overly suspicious sometimes!
Oh the offer that was accepted was $1475.00 that's not bad! Thanks to all

Yes they do accept Pay Pal and why not? You can trust Pay Pal as much as any other major card service.

I use PayPal to purchase from Adorama. I don't keep any money in a PayPal account. I use my Visa credit card through PayPal. I think it is safer than using the credit card at the merchant's web site, and I have the additional PayPal guarantee.
It appears that a few are responding without having read previous responses. They may or may not influence your thoughts. Not meant to be critical, just noting a habit that I am occasionally guilty of.
I used greentoe a few weeks back to buy through Adorama. I tried PayPal greentoe told me that they did not have paying through them to Adorama through PayPal set up. I payed with credit card everything went fine. Like the other poster said all US. I registered my lense through Sigma no problems. I would go for it looks like a good deal.
Just a remark regarding vendor costs with respect to fees incurred for payment. We know that the credit cards charge a fee. Paypal also charges a fee. The prime vendor,Amazon,Greentoe, etc, they also charge the supplier a fee to sell on their site. So maybe Adorama and others are opting to not pay additional fees passed on to them by Greentoe for accepting Paypal. Just a thought and I'm sure some out there are better versed with respect to these fees.
I use PayPal with Adorama all the time. When you call them ask for Jack Gold in the trade and used dept. He will help you out.
If y may suggest, get your self a prepaid rechargeable card and used that for electronique shopping, if clone/stolen you only loose what on the card at that time, only transfer what needed for this transaction and they can't collect more
I have used PayPal at Adorama several times.

Greentoe makes a point of saying that their merchandise is not gray market and carries an USA warranty. I don't understand why Adorama won't accept Pay Pal. It maybe that Greentoe won't accept Pay Pal.
I would imagine PayPal is not free. In the few times I have used it there was no service fee to me. So the entity receuving the funds must be paying the fee. Credit card companies charge fees, too. So maybe Adorama regards the PayPal fee too high and besides they accept some credit cards.
I have purchased a number of products from Adorama and have used paypal. In talking to them I did find out they are not able to take PayPal over the phone but do take on internet sales and through ebay. I am not sure why they can't do it over the phone but it is easy enough to get around.

That's a no kidding, for sure. What you describe is exactly what happened to me. I shipped $1800 worth of camera and lens because I was foolish and didn't verify a PayPal email. And, as soon as you ship (especially international), you are SOL.
I have bought thru Greentoe. They are on the up and up. The lens will NOT be gray market. I doubt Adorama sells gray. This gift horse has all its teeth.
I bought through Greentoe once before and it was a good transaction. I believe it was for a Canon 17-40mm L lens but I soon found out they would not accept Discover or PayPal even though the purchase was through was trough Adorama. But I still have no complaints I just used a Visa instead.
