I'd need a time machine to go back and get loads of Kodachrome and Plus-X film.

You'd have to go back to at least early 2010 to get all of that Kodachrome processed.

Uhh...to have fun talking about it?

Perhaps the the writer of the original negative comment doesn't know the meaning of "fun," only nastiness.

Hasselblad and Leica are the most expensive cameras. So expensive that regular folks know about them, but will never own them. Like owning a Ferrari. You first have to win the Lottery to make our wish list or dreams come true. Otherwise the Nikon/Canon etc., and the family Ford SUV will have to be OK for the time being. I play the lottery occasionally and haven't won it big yet. But I still have my Nikon. Paid for too.

My wife said that if I won the lottery I would go crazy trying to decide what camera to buy. I said it would be easy--a Nikon F6. Best camera I have ever seen and I could afford to shoot all the film I wanted.

you are thinking too small! Medium format with a flock of lenses.

I'd buy the new versions of the Nikon 400/2.8, 500/4 and 600/4 in a heartbeat!

Digital Hasselblad with a number of lenses. $500,000 should do.

For completeness sake:

For medium format film, used Hasselblad and Rolleiflex would do.

I already have the 35mm film camera works for me, my Pentax K2 DMD.

DSLR, Pentax K-1 (FX) and Pentax K-3 (DX).

Agreed. The only way I COULD afford to shoot all the film I want would be if I won the lottery. I much prefer the look of film compared to digital. Just look at the movies you see, the ones shot on film and compare them to those shot on video. The film just has that fuller and warmer look.

I would agree, but would add the 300/2.8 as well.

If you hit it really big, don 't fool around. Here's just about the most expensive of all:

P.S. Please ignore the anti/pro Arab inane discussion at the end of the link. We are only interested in CAMERAS, not world problems.

i'd spring for the pentax 645z, ad a few fa lenses, to go with my 645d.

Yes! You could spring for a Hassie or Phase One to get the same resolution, sensitivity, and contrast ratio, but the 645Z is as user-friendly as the best Canicon and it produces magnificent images. For something less heavy to carry around I'd get a Sony mirrorless A7rii with Zeiss primes and a G-Series telephoto zoom. I understand that soon there will be a true telephoto prime for birding and wildlife photography, even better than the zoom.

To me, the question is not so much the camera(s) or lenses, but where would my wife and I go to take the pictures (first class, of course).
