Sorry;
While I totally disagree with your opinion, I will "defend to the death, your right to it..."
Thanks for taking the time to comment..

I don't think any changes would be made without dealing with Admin. My own thought is if you're in such a hurry to see what pictures have been posted, you'll not likely take the time to study and enjoy the ones you do open.

I think the idea might be to have MORE time to study and enjoy the ones that are of interest.( Although I don't speak for anyone but myself.) Just thinking out loud.

I've always wondered why members don't each get a small gallery.
Just one page with 12-16 slots so users can see a members work without that member having to have a website of their own.
With only one page, people wouldn't join to use UHH as a Flickr. ;-)

It is amazing how many photos those Flickr people put up on some of their sites. I get probably 10-15 of mine processed and finished, per year. I am not a prolific producer like some that can post new photos every day. And the suggestion of individual pages for UHH members might be a service that UHH could provide, possibly making a little money. It could also draw more people to UHH... Ha! I am always looking for money-making opportunities, I admit it!

Or you could have a full-sized thumbnail pop up (perhaps in a small window) when you roll the cursor over the thread's title (and have the thumbnail disappear when the cursor moves off of the title).

Yes, but unfortunately if the title doesn't grab your fancy, you just MIGHT miss one of the most meaningful and beautiful images you might ever "rest your eyes on."

If that is one of your goals, (mine is) by all means visit 500px.com. You will see new beauty every time you go to that site.

I appreciate looking at all the beautiful photography posted on 500px, but I found few I would hang on my wall at home... Maybe I didn't look long enough.

By the way, does any member know why we can't transfer from most other members account info. next to their posting directly to their website? At least l can't. I have to write down the address, get on to internet, then go to it..

Unfortunately in today's world, everyone is in a rush.
Don't know about the rest of the membership, but I often wonder what amazing images I missed everyday on my UHH site.
Right now we have to depend on the title to decide if we should open a post to see the image(s)
How about if there were thumbnail files of the image(s) after the end of the title? (Running horizontally if there are three of them.) While they would be very small, they could at least lead you toward deciding if that positing should be open.
Or another way might be to have them all together, (and numbered to show you what posting they belong to) in a "sheet" form the images should be able to be larger. (There would be one "sheet" posted with each topic area.)
Of course maybe UHH already has something like this somewhere? (What I have found about what I know regarding UHH is that I "know nothing!)

That which you are wanting would place a considerable amount of work upon the shoulders of our forum's administration, however; my way of thinking suggests that the best way to resolve this problem for you would be for you to go back and search for photographs our members had posted in the past and then make yourself a list of members names whom had posted past photos that you liked best. Then, in the future, all you would need to do would be to search the names on your list to see if those members have posted any new photos.

The reason for my suggestion is that I have found that among all the names of members listed within our forum, no more than nine or ten members are known to post exceptional high quality photographs and according to that which you are wanting or seeking, only exceptional quality photographs are what you are seeking anyway, would this be correct ?

Are you talking about clicking on a link in their signature area or some such? If those links don't work by clicking on them it could be a security setting in your browser or internet security software.

If you can't find the appropriate setting to change you could try highlighting the link by dragging your cursor across it then right-clicking on it and selecting "OPEN LINK IN NEW TAB" (or one of the other "OPEN" options).

I wholeheartedly agree with your idea. All too often the title given by the uploader bears little resemblance to the image being posted and that's apart from the atrocious spelling that is often used. A visual depiction is the norm on many other photo-related sites but would require a lot of code change to implement here. As a forum, the template used here works well for the exchange of ideas, suggestions & dialogue, perhaps not so well for images.
