They are not that expensive you can buy them in bulk with your company logo on them.
Do you have a link for these flash drives?

I wonder who makes Apple's DVD drive? Putting the Apple logo on it probably doubles the price...
It has a custom ROM in it that makes it work with certain Mac models... those made after 2011 or so.

I been buying flash drives for over a year to put my photos on. Cost each 2s $2. 4s $3. 8s $5. 250s $15. got a deal a 500 $17. its great. Just bought a 1TB last week for $40.
I been thing about putting my costumes photos on FDs not on a DVDS. As a service not extra.

I don't have clients. If I did, and they were paying me, I would deliver on whatever they wanted. I wouldn't be asking an internet forum, I would be asking the customer!

Almost all the work I do is either for the web or for publication - no need for prints.
Ok that makes sense.I was wondering why someone would send their clients a flash drive with photos they would have to print themselves!
I deliver images on paper, or metal, or wood, or canvas. :-)
For those that get just files - for headshots as an example - I email them.
Just gave a client a 16GB flash drive of images I shot at their golf tournament. I worked the tournament for the after tournament party tickets for me & wife, no $$ exchanged hands. The 16GB flash drive was $7.99 and they bought it. Expensive ???

Good. I have a 2010 Mini that requires an internal burner with the Apple ROM. I had to replace it after burning several hundred discs.
I use a flash drive or deliver the images to a Dropbox.

Good Morning!! Curious how you photographers out there deliver your photographs to clients these days. The new computer has no space for cd's. Flash drives are so expensive. I have one colleague who 'lends' a flash drive ...... looking to see what you do ..... thanks!

I only deliver photographs for services as digital downloads from my web site. This does not constitute a transfer of tangible property, and thus all photographic services are not subject to sales/use tax.
A flash drive, DVD, CD or print is tangible property, and triggers sales tax on the total fee.

Frankly, I do everything I can to not give the digital files. If I do, I charge as much as I would have made if I would have sold a wall portrait. My wedding packages are the opposite of the shoot and burners. If you want a CD it costs MORE than the package where you get an album and a few prints.
Remember, we aren't selling 1's and 0's, or pieces of paper with ink on them. We are selling our artistic work. People who paint portraits aren't just selling a piece of canvas and some paint. Photographers need to consider how we diminish the value of what we do.
OK, off my soapbox.

I agree. But can you give concrete examples? Charges of what prints cost vs what you would charge for digital files?
