Every time I've been to the Wall it's been in the day time.
Big mistake, should have gone at night......This shot is outstanding! Thanks for sharing!

Outstanding shot. As a Vietnam Veterans, thanks for sharing. Two weekends ago, my brother and I went to the 50th Commemoration of the Vietnam War. This event was held at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, CA.

One of Best pictures of "The Wall" I have ever seen!

I have to agree. Even if you don't know the significance of the wall, your image is moving.

So many have so many good thoughts I just can't add too them. I spent my time freezing in Korea. Speaking on technical terms, I would like to have those three lights on the side turned off. This is a "very moving" picture but not as much when you are standing there. Love it.

Colonel Pete Peterson, USAF pilot shot down by enemy fire in Vietnam, spent 6 years as a prisoner of war by the North Vietnamese Army. He returned to Hanoi to a much different country. He was first Ambassador from 1997-2001. Twenty two years after the war ended. He served under the Clinton Administration. Vietnam Vets did not protest this appointment. He wanted to mend fences. He is now a philanthropist and 80 years old now.

Like all the others, I have to say that that is one 'shot' of the wall I was not expecting.
I have visited it a couple of times but, too, only during sunny daylight.
I was in 'nam '67-'68 and it always gnaws at me when I recall coming home and having to
travel thru various airports on the way home and some of the 'welcome backs' we received.
My son is in Afghanistan now, and I look forward to 'being there' when his unit returns.
Again, thanks fo the posting of a great picture . . .
