What's wrong with focusing manually??

Without a focusing screen in the viewfinder, it can be quite a challenge to get it right. With a focusing screen, it's a piece of cake.

Then why waste money on an AF camera. Just get a Nikon F and be very happy, manual meter, manual focus, manual aperture, manual shutter and to top it off you get to use FILM. Wow I need to go back to manual!!!!!!

I focus mine manual and like using it with a reversing ring because it has an aperture ring.

Just instruct your subjects to only move exactly parallel to the sensor plane while staying quite close to the central axis of the lens. Should work...

I don't have a problem using it manually when I'm the one taking photos. It takes beautiful pictures. But when I'm solo and put it on a tripod to take a picture of myself, I have to take like 20 and hope one is just the right focus

Auto focus keeps getting better. Most digital cameras do not have a view screen that is meant for focusing.
If you want a photo of your self find a honest looking person and have them take a picture of you.
